Surfacing formulation will usually include a filler or an aggregate and a resinous matrix or binding agent that holds the filler or aggregate together· and bonds the surfacing to the concrete floor.   1.2 Chemical and Physical Properties of .Concrete: Concrete is attacked by organic and inorganic acids, numerous alkalies and neutral salts, and by cleaning and bleaching agents. Abrasion resistance of concrete may be greatly improved by the use of certain coatings and monolithic surfacings.
