Offshore oil and gas platforms, pipelines end marine structures are most often catholically protected with sacrificial anodes, which require periodic replacement. Rising costs associated with traditional diver-placed retrofits have necessitated development of surface and remotely operated vehicle (R.O.V.) deployed systems. Innovations in mounting hardware have also been developed for more rapid installation of diver-placed anodes.
