Often when reuse and reclaimed waters replace fresh waters in cooling water systems, increased scale, corrosion, and/or biological problems can rapidly occur. The proper installation and evaluation of monitoring instrumentation is critical to assure continued equipment protection. Control of water treatment programs should be monitored and evaluated using rapid, effective techniques. Specific reuse water case histories will be reviewed relative to monitoring and treatment control.
