The integrity management and safe operation of wet gas pipelines in the offshore industry is a complex subject. This paper puts together an overview of the corrosion and hydrate management strategies which have been implemented on a 23 KM (14.25 mile) long 406 mm (16”) diameter wet gas pipeline, comprised of a mix of carbon and duplex steel sections operating within the hydrate region in the UK Central North Sea.
