Microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) - 38 articles and papers. MIC management process. Threat assessment. Mitigation. Prevention. Monitoring. Management. Lists of MIC resources, standards, courses & books. 2015 NACE E-Book
This NACE best-seller is based on the authors' course, The Corrosion & Protection of Metals. This edition of this classic text is based on notes used by the authors for more than a decade in their course, The Corrosion and Protection of Metals. The authors emphasize the engineering aspects of corrosion and its control in ways that will be helpful to the practicing engineer. Topics covered include corrosion economics, detecting and monitoring corrosion, regulations, specifications, safety, and the selection and use of materials, with special emphasis on stainless steels. 1995 NACE E-BOOK
For engineers and maintenance personnel who design, operate, and maintain large, multi–stage wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) Basics of corrosion of metals and degradation of non–metals, including concrete, and how to mitigate them. 3rd edition 2016 NACE E-Book
Exterior surface coatings and cathodic protection in nuclear power plant structures, systems, and components during construction & maintenance. Selection and evaluation of these systems. E-BOOK
Sweet corrosion of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) is a major concern in the oil and gas industry. This paper will present the experimental results and discuss the effects of temperature and Chromium content in OCTG on corrosion rate.
Designing, installing, and operating deep anode systems. The proper engineering decision relates directly to the successful design of your system. Includes figures, tables, references & index. E-BOOK
Carbon steel is the main construction material in HYDROFLUORIC ACID (HF) alkylation units. Carbon Steel has good corrosion resistance to anhydrous HF (AHF) below 160 degrees fahrenheit (71 C). The corrosion resistance is due to the formation of an inorganic iron fluoride scale on the carbon steel surface that protects the steel from futher corrosion. The presence of an adherent and continuous scale is essential in keeping the corrosion rate at a minimum.
Case histories & illustrations of specific forms of corrosion. General, localized & galvanic corrosion, environmental cracking, erosion-corrosion, cavitation & fretting. Intergranular corrosion, dealloying & high-temperature corrosion. 1982 NACE
