HOW A COMBINATION OF A POLYMER AND PVC FILM CAN PROVIDE COMPLETE GREEN COATING SOLUTIONS?

Vegetal polymers are today a cost effective solution for complex metallic geometry parts (bolts, flanges, valves, etc…), PVC vinyl film became the same for flat and semi flat shapes (bulkheads, tank walls, pipes, etc…). Vegetal thermoplastic Polymers: Current solutions prove challenging to totally eradicate corrosion since many industrial settings include gaps between parts, bolts, flanges, valves, hydraulic blocks, etc. Polymers are characterized by having weak chemical bonds (Van der Waals bonds) between the polymer chains, thus can be easily broken by inserting energy. It flows with the application of temperature easy modeling the part under coating. When they are cooled, it returns to their initial stiffness forming a kind of shell surrounding the piece. After being applied to the metal surface, it is solidified within seconds, encapsulating the entire piece, blocking the entry of air and humidity, thus breaking the cycle of corrosion. PVC vinyl film; widely tested it proved long longevity protection. Method is environmentally friendly as does not generate VOC’s and overspray as conventional painting. Edges and structural frames are also well protected as 150-micron film thickness remains the same wherever shapes are possible to apply. This combination provides complete coating solution for several industrial installations with no impact to the environment.
