Themechanisms implemented in corrosionprediction models are mostly based on experimental data.Validating the capability of thesemodels using field datais an essential stepin building confidenceat the user level.Anapproach in comparing model predictions with field data is proposed in this work. The special case of Top of the Line Corrosionis useddue to the relative "cleanliness" of the field information especially related to the lack of chemical inhibition. Information collected fromseveral sweet field is analyzed and used to run several TLC models. When applicapleprofiles of water condensation ratestemperature and corrosion ratesare simulated. The simulation resultsarecompared with in-line inspection data (ILI). Challenges encountered in the analysis of the field conditions information (inaccuracy of production data) and the ILI data are discussed and a coherent methodology for comparison with simulation results is proposed.
