In sour gas system elemental sulphur and polysulfide can be formed which severely aggravates the corrosion. The application of sulphur solvent and corrosion inhibitor aims to mitigate corrosion. However in some cases very sticky solid deposits in pipeline were found which is believed to be the mixture of elemental sulphur and extracted corrosion inhibitor bases. How to keep the high efficiency of chemicals in field condition and avoid the sludge formation is quite challenging. Combined product of sulphur solvent and corrosion inhibitor is developed which can be mainly used in batch program or applied by continuous injection in some situations (dry gas with turbulent flow). The results of product evaluation show that the product is tolerant to hydrocarbon dilution and has a good sulphur uptake even at low temperatures. The stability of the product upon the hydrocarbon dilution reduces the chances of base drop-out and helps the elimination of sludge formation. Autoclave test is done for batch application using brine and the polysulfide solution under sour conditions showing that the product provides at least 90% corrosion protection. After dissolving elemental sulphur the product also performs excellent to mitigate corrosion. Key words: elemental sulphur sulphur solvent corrosion inhibitor corrosion protection polysulfide
