ABSTRACT
Green  volatile corrosion inhibitor was  developed by the reaction of Oleic hydrazide and   cinnamic  acid. Its inhibition action was evaluated on corrosion of mild steel under a thin film electrolyte consisting of simulated water by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance methods. The results of polarisation study showed that the reaction product of Oleic hydrazide and cinnamic acid act as  cathodic  inhibitor at 25 ppm  and   predominantly acted as anodic inhibitor at 100 ppm . The values obtained from impedance plots distinctly increased in presence of different concentration   inhibitor   which further corroborated that synthesized  inhibitor is a   effective inhibitor for corrosion of mild steel. It showed 98 % IE at 100ppm
