This paper describes the use of the alternate torrent potential drop as a method for measuring crack growth continuously throughout testing time, in double cantilever beam (DCB) specimens used for assessing the threshold stress concentration for sulfide stress corrosion cracking or KISS CC. This methodology was used to asses the sulfilde stress corrosion cracking (SSCC) susceptibility in different oil country tubular products (OCTG) grade steels in several conditions.
