This paper provides a summary of results of a industry survey of problematic refinery plant injection points. Sponsored by NACE T-8-2 1 Task Group on Refinery Additive Injection Facilities, the survey provided an opportunity for oil refinery plants to report on those injection points that may have contributed to corrosion or other problems. The paper will summarize the survey results. The statistics will show the number of injection points identified and the frequency of problems associated with types of injections, unit types, materials of construction, corrodent contributors, and injection facility type. Included is information on experiences with injection point monitoring. materials of construction and design upgrades used to maintain injection point reliability. Examples of the most common problems identified are included as case histories. Keywords: T-8, refining, injection facilities, survey, piping corrosion
