One of the major concerns in the oil and gas industries is the carrier pipelines integrity that transfer crude oil,
gas, condensate. etc. The Pipeline integrity is primarily affected by external and internal corrosion that threaten
safety, environment and productive operation. External Corrosion Assessment of existing pipelines is one of
the major challenges to the practicing professionals. By following the latest international standards and
experience, tools such as In-Direct Inspection (101) and In -Line Inspection (Ill) are utilized for the external
corrosion assessment. Each tool applicability is examined throughout vast diversity of cases associated with
the operational and environmental condition of the pipelines.
