The UNS N09935, N07718 and N07716 superalloys may cover a wide range of oil and gas
applications. These alloys are available in three different mechanical strength lines: 110/120 ksi
(758/827 MPa) MYS (Minimum Yield Strength), 140 ksi (965 MPa) MYS and 145 ksi (1000 MPa) MYS.
The corrosion resistance of these materials has been determined through an R&D programme of
corrosion tests in severe environmental conditions up to NACE Test Level VII but at higher
temperatures up to 300 °C (572 °F) and in the presence of elemental sulfur. Properties of these
materials and results of this test programme are herein presented and discussed.
