Phosphoric acid attack tank floors and walls have historically been lined with acid resistant
brick and membrane systems. While such linings have become industry standard, there is
less consensus regarding the best way to line the ceilings of these tanks. Numerous liquid
applied linings have been used with variable success and service life. When properly selected
and installed, anchored thermoplastic liner systems effectively protect the ceilings of
phosphoric acid attack tanks against corrosion in different service environments.
