Localized internal corrosion of water distribution piping is difficult to detect, diagnose, and mitigate. This paper describes a project in which multi-parameter water quality sensors and corrosion rate sensors were permanently installed at key locations in a water system to detect corrosion problems and fine-tune the chemical treatment program. Preliminary data and lessons learned will be provided.

Results of laboratory testing of a new technology for mitigating galvanic corrosion.
