This paper summarizes the evaluation work undertaken by Ontario Ministry of Transportation on sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems. Test results for various proprietary sacrificial anodes installed on selected highway structures in Ontario over a two-year period are presented. The sacrificial anodes examined included zinc sheeting
with conductive adhesive, thermal sprayed zinc, thermal sprayed alumimum-zinc-indium, thermal sprayed zinc-magnesium, and embedded zinc anodes with mortar casing.
