Computer controlled data acquisition systems and software have been used for a number of years both to control electrochemical interfaces and to collect, analyze and interpret corrosion monitoring data. The next phase in the development of electrochemical monitoring utilizes
embedded processors to perform these functions locally to the monitoring location. The application of Data Analysis Envelopes (DAE's) simplifies the process of electrochemical corrosion monitoring.
