Effective control of system condition requires integration of information on physical parameters, chemical analysis, chemical treatments and real time data on such effects as corrosion, scale formation, biofouling, etc. This paper describes the approach taken by several American and North Sea operators in collecting and utilising this data to provide a process management system. The key to successful management is in the use of modern computer systems with open databases that allow easy transfer of information used in condition control and chemical treatment
processes. Key words: corrosion, chemical management, scale, monitoring, dehydration, database
