The relationship between power spectral density (PSD) and time record of electrochemical noise is investigated through computer simulations in order to interpret the characteristics of the spectra and understand the features in the time records that give rise to them. It is shown that the PSD of EN consisting in a series of time transients strongly depends on the shape of the transients, on their statistical time distribution, and on the distribution function of their amplitude, life time... when these parameters show a random behavior. Simulations, confirmed by a theoretical approach, show that the slopes of the PSD decrease are...
