High alloy stainless steels exhibit complex corrosion behavior under liquid-solid impingement conditions compared to static seawater. In this study, the corrosion of the three high alloy stainless steels (UNS S32654, UNS S31254 and UNS S32750) has been studied in-situ via anodic polarization (AP), linear polarization (LP) and AC-impedance measurements under liquid-solid impingement conditions in seawater. The solid loading in the system has been varied between 100 mg/l and 3000 mg/l. The corrosion rate has been determined from both linear polarization and AC impedance techniques and values are in broad agreement from these two techniques. The correlation between corrosion rate and free corrosion potential (Ecorr) is discussed. Keywords: corrosion, impingement, high alloy stainless steel.
