The corrosion rate of L-80 steel in seawater was investigated in the presence of corrosion, scale, and biocide inhibitors separately and in combination of each. Experiments were conducted using the rotating cylinder electrode method under autoclave conditions with rotational speeds of 1000 and 2000 rpm. The temperature of the autoclave was maintained at 80C, and CO2 was purged into the cell for 3 h. The corrosion rate of L-80 was determined by the LPR and gravimetric methods. Results indicated that the combination of scale-corrosion inhibitors and biocide-scale-corrosion inhibitors provided the best protection at both rotational speeds in relationship to blank conditions.
